Lucile Rokenbrodt

Lucile Ruth (Kressin) Rokenbrodt, age 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 at Care Partners Assisted Living Home in Bloomer, WI.

Lucile was born July 18, 1921 to Iba and Louise (Berg) Kressin on the Berg Farm in the township of Auburn, Chippewa County. She was baptized September 4, 1921 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomer. She was the youngest of 5 children. At age one, she moved to the family farm 4 miles north of Chippewa Falls in Eagle Point, where she grew up. She attended school in Chippewa Falls.

She married Elwood J. Rokenbrodt on May 23, 1947. They started their married lives together, building and running Rocky's Motel in Baldwin. From there they moved to Albert Lea, MN and then on to Dresbach, MN where they built and operated the IM 90 Gas station. They had two sons, Harley Rokenbrodt of Muskego, and Rev. Gary Rokenbrodt of Clam Falls.
