Lucy A. Liedl, 85, Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
She was born August 6, 1924 in the town of Tilden to Eva (Beaudette) and John Schwartz. She was raised in the town of Tilden and Rice Lake. She graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1942.
Lucy married Edward Liedl on May 2, 1945 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. They resided in Chippewa Falls since that time. She was employed at National Presto Industries and then at Holy Ghost Grade School for twenty years. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
Surivors include: two daughters, Mavis (John) Jakel, Arlis (Patrick McCombs) Liedl all of Chippewa Falls; five sons, Eugene (Roberta) Liedl of Fall Creek; Jack (Sharon Johnson) Liedl of Menomonie, Larry Liedl, Dennis (Cheryl) Liedl and Richard (Lynn) Liedl all of Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren, Dan (Tracy) Liedl, Melissa (Travis) Gora, Mary (Kris) Geissler, Christine (Kyle) Wathke, John, DeAnn, Mike, Lacey and Alyssa Liedl; five great-granchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward on January 28, 2001 and brother, Emmanuel Schwartz.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, February 26 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
