Margaret J. "Margo" Powers, 62, of Eau Claire, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at home.

She was born February 2, 1952 in Cook, Minnesota to Jessie Mae (Mitchem) and Allen Powers.

Margaret married Richard R. Olson in 1971. Together they had four children. Although Margaret and Richard later divorced, they remained best friends, and enjoyed spending time together with their family.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Richard Allen Olson; daughters, Karrie Powers and Candice O'Brien; life partner, Richard R. Olson; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jamie Olson; and two sisters, Mary Galatz and Shirley Powers.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 4 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra, chaplain of the Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A memorial service for Margaret J. "Margo" Powers, 62, of Eau Claire was held at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 4 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated and personal reflections were shared by daughter, Karrie Powers and granddaughter, Sophia O'Brien.
