Marlene L. "Mugsy" Marcott, 74, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born June 13, 1938 in Chippewa Falls to Lucille (Wilkenson) and Norman Brown. She graduated from McDonnell High School in 1956.

Following high school, Mugsy moved to Milwaukee, where she lived for many years and raised her children. She moved back to Chippewa Falls in 1978 and worked in private home health. She had been a resident at Wissota Health for the past five years.

She was a member of Chippewa Valley Bible Church in Chippewa Falls.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy "Berf" (Dennis) Ruhe of Chippewa Falls, Sandra "Sam" Roberts of Milwaukee; a son, Daniel (Linda) Marcott of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Sharon Davis of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Emily Ruhe of Chippewa Falls, Kelsey "Kel-bear" Roberts of Milwaukee, Sarah (Dom) Genovese, Brittany and Michael Marcott, all of Huntville; nephews, Darrell "D" Davis of Seattle, Patrick "Bub" (Karen) Davis of Chippewa Falls, Chris "T" (Amy) of Oakland, CA; numerous great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gerry McCaghy, Wanda Kohls and Dennis Grewe.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 9 at the Mae Rowan Ecumenical Chapel at Wissota Health. Rev. Jim Woldhuis and Stuart Krause of Chippewa Valley Bible Church will officiate the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at Mae Rowan Chapel.

Mugsy's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Wissota Health & Regional Vent, which became like a second family and made Mugsy's stay her home for the past five years. Also, thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their exceptional care.
