Maxine M. Nazer, 73, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer, after battling cancer for many years.

She was born December 18, 1940 in Chippewa County to Edna (Meier) and Morris Oleson.

On November 14, 1961, Maxine married Louis Nazer. She worked in the office at JCPenney, Chippewa Shoe and finally, Mason Shoe until her retirement.

Maxine enjoyed shopping, gardening, collecting stuffed animals in her animal garden, and loved caring for her bird Chico. She also enjoyed time with family, especially her granddaughters.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls for over 50 years.

Survivors include her husband, Louis; two daughters, Becky Gabert and Michelle Nazer both of Chippewa Falls; two granddaughters, Tabatha Gabert, Josie Nazer and a great-grandchild, Acadia Gabert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Martha Jessogne; and a brother, Maurice Oleson.

A private family service was held.
