Merle "Bud" Wilfred Normand was called from this earth by the Lord on January 8, 2015. He began his final journey while at home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by the many he leaves behind. He will never be replaced nor forgotten by those he has touched in his young 84 years.

Bud was born July 2, 1930 in Chippewa Falls to Felix and Malvina "Tootes" (Clark) Normand. He grew up and lived in Chippewa County the entire time while on this earth. He married his high school sweetheart Phyllis Mary McIlquham on April 30, 1949.

Bud's work was always about helping and serving others so all could enjoy life. Over the years he worked at the County Farm, Clover Dairy, Sally Ann Bakery, Peters Packing, and Cable Television. Bud enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, birds, and he greatly admired the wolf species. He enjoyed being outdoors in the company of family and numerous friends. His road trips to basically anywhere at any time were rarely traveled on the same route, to and from. He always said the road would come out somewhere.
