Michael Patrick Clover, 62, of the town of Anson, Jim Falls, died unexpectedly at his home May 10, 2017.

He was born July 14, 1954 in Green Bay, Wis. to Peter and Dolores (Meyer) Clover. He grew up in Green Bay, Wis. and graduated from Premontre High School - Green Bay in 1972.

Mike moved to Franklin in 1988 and then to Altoona in 1990. He built a self-employed career in real estate, appraisals and construction.

On May 26, 2006, he married Marlene Thompson in Maui. They had previously purchased land in Jim Falls to build their dream home together. Mike loved the outdoors and observing wildlife. He was also skilled at building things and working in his woodshop. He was very proud of the cabinets and doors he built for their new home.

Mike is survived by his wife, Marlene; son Chris (Kathryn) Clover of Minneapolis, Minn. and son-in-law Danny (Joann) Brown of Fontana, Calif.; grandchildren, Eleanor Clover and Nowell Snider; father, Peter Clover of Green Bay, Wis.; siblings, Jerome (Linda) Clover of Atlanta Ga., Catherine (Juan) Holguin of Cali, Colombia, South America, Daniel (Sue) Clover of Green Bay, Wis., Patricia Smet of the town of Dale, Wis., Charles (Sara) Clover of Green Bay, Wis., and Thomas (Dawn) Clover of Green Bay, Wis. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Clover; brother-in-law, Gordy Smet; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Clover.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 15th at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls with Rev. Alan Dunham officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
