Michael Rose

Michael Rose, 76, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Meadowbrook in Bloomer. He was born on August 15, 1948 in Winona, MN to Everett and Jean (May) Rose. 

He graduated from Winona High School with the class of 1966 and went on to pursue health/physical education and history degrees at Winona State University. He married Karen Untiet on March 1, 1975, and together they raised 3 sons, Timothy, Matthew and Ryan. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends. He worked for Madison Silo right out of school, eventually owning the business for many years.

Michael is survived by his mother, Jean Rose; his sons, Timothy (Beth) Rose, and Ryan (Tina) Rose of Minneapolis, MN, and Matthew (Angela) Rose of Chippewa Falls, WI; his grandsons, Jalen Rose, Tanner Rose, and Isaac Rose; his siblings, Steve Rose, Dan Rose, Kathy Rose, Peggy Rose and Pat Rose; his ex-wife, Karen Rose; along with many other beloved family members and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Everett Rose. 

A Memorial Service for Michael will take place at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 12:00pm, with a visitation starting at 10am. Pastor Aaron Sturgis will be officiating.
