Monica "Monkey" Lynn Henning Schneider, 56, passed away on December 31, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, after a courageous six-month battle with cancer.
Born on March 13, 1968, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, she was the cherished daughter of Rudolph B. Henning and Cheryl E. Cigan. Monica graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and lived a life filled with love and laughter. She married Michael Schneider, and though their marriage ended in divorce, she later found her true love in Gregory Goulet. Throughout her years Monica worked at Sam's Auto Supply and J R Manufacturing (Champ Pans) and was also a dedicated farmhand. Her passion for animals was evident in the care she gave her horses, dogs, cats, and birds. Her two Jack Russell’s, Dotty and Norman, will miss her dearly.
Monica found joy in camping, fishing, crafting, playing cards, kayaking, riding horses, and cheering on family members who raced. She treasured time spent with her friends and family. Known for her goofy sense of humor and radiant smile, Monica had a gift for making any moment brighter. Her kind heart and good intentions left an unforgettable impression on those who knew her.
She is survived by her fiancé, Gregory Goulet; his son, Gage Siddons; her sister, Melissa (Steven) Hallquist; her brothers, Michael (Tanya) Henning and Mark (Tiffany) Henning; her nieces and nephews, Travis Hallquist (Sarah Nemath), Tracy Hallquist (Dustin Goodenough), Tara Hallquist (Nathan Richards), Connor (Miranda) Henning, Trey Henning, and Brock Henning; as well as her aunts and uncle and numerous cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph B. Henning and Cheryl E. Cigan; her beloved dog, Paisley; and other loved ones who await her with open arms.
Special thanks are extended to her Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Art Mathews for their unwavering support, love, and care throughout Monica’s illness.
Monica’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held from 4-6:30 p.m., Friday, January 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Crise officiating.
