Louis Morken, age 51 of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitatoin with Tammi and his daughter Kara at his side. He was born to Howard and Greta (Silver) Morken in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 9, 1963.

Lou graduated from Northside High School, in Fort Wayne IN, with the class of 1981.He was an owner of his own construction company and loved building houses, camping, fishing, and traveling to Florida with his family. Lou lived life to the fullest, and will always be remembered as the "big guy" with a "big heart". In the last months of his life, if you were to visit Lou you would always find him with jolly ranchers and orange soda and enough to share. He had quite the jorney since September, and we find comfort knowing he is no longer struggling and is at peace.

He is survived by his wife, Tammi Morken; daughters, Bethanie, Kara and Ella Morken; step-son, Cody Kohls, granddaughter, Alexandrie Morken-Jimenez; step-granddaughter, Kennedy Kohls; parents, Howard Morken and Greta McComb; brothers, Bill (Liz) Morken and Andy (Kim) Morken; sister, Ramona (Alan) Silk; father and mother-in-law, Dick and Deanna Augustine; nieces and nephews, Danny, Nathan, Jared, Justin, Andrea and Aree; along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be at 3:30 p.m. on June 6, 2015, at Landmark Christian Church, 126th Street, Chippewa Falls WI, 54729, with a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at church. Pastor Brad Crocker will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lou's daughters.
