Myrna R. Mattison, 94, of Eau Claire, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at her residence.

Myrna was born in Chippewa Falls on March 11, 1922, to Arthur and Ruth "Manila" Nelson. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School as valedictorian. On February 16, 1943, she married Roger C. Mattison in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

Myrna is survived by her daughter, Nancy Peterson of Eau Claire; son, David Mattison of Austin, Texas; brother, Thomas (Evelyn) Nelson of Chippewa Falls; sister, Jean Dalrymple of Edina, Minnesota; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger in 2001; son-in-law, Clancy Peterson; and brother-in-law, Don Dalrymple.

A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Memorials are preferred to the Humane Association of Eau Claire or Chippewa County.
