Nancy Larson

d. December 11, 2011

Nancy was born on December 28, 1942 in Iron Mountain, MI, the daughter of Olive (Bergquist) and Jack Larson. She spent the first six years in Florence, WI. The family moved to Kingsford, MI in 1948, where Nancy lived until 2000.

When she was nine years old, she contracted polio (1952) during one of the last severe epidemics before the Salk vaccine became available. Nancy graduated from the Iron Mountain school system, then worked as a typist for seven years. She later took up painting which proved to be an enjoyable pastime for many years. She also enjoyed playing piano, doing crafts, taking rides in the country with her family, and had a large correspondence. Her family and friends were dear to her, filling her days with good things and enriching her life. She lived at Wissota Health Vent Center for the last 11 years of her life.

Nancy is survived by one brother, Wayne (Susan) Larson of Kingsford, MI; many cousins; and many friends who dearly loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one niece, Fonda.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, December 13 at the Mae Rowan Ecumenical Chapel at Wissota Health, Chippewa Falls, with Pastors Wilfred Goeke and Jason Stein officiating. Burial will be in Aurora Homestead Cemetery in Aurora, Wisconsin.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service Tuesday at Mae Rowan Chapel.
