Nancy J. Sly, 66, of Eau Claire, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

She was born January 6, 1947 in Eau Claire to De Etta "Jean" (Owen) and Alfard "Chris" Christner. She grew up in Hallie and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1965.

Nancy worked for many years at TTM in Chippewa Falls until her retirement.

Her favorite pastime was spent outdoors and spoiling her granddaughter. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and picking flowers. She was also a talented quilter. She was a loving mother, grandmother and daughter. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Sly of Eau Claire, Jeffrey(Tanya) Sly of Chippewa Falls; her mother, Jean Christner of Chippewa Falls; granddaughter, Brooke Sly; sister, Judy (Brent) Schultz of Hudson; foster brothers Kenneth(Debra) Holte, David(Nancy) Holte, nieces and nephews, Amanda and Elizabeth Schultz, Troy Dean, Christopher, Charlene, and Chad Holte, Grant, Ryan, and DJ Holte.

She was preceded in death by her father; two sons in infancy, Jeffery and Douglas Sly; and a sister, Barbara Christner.

A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

Interment will be at a later date.
