Nick I. Cigan

Nick I. Cigan, 74, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.

On April 5, 1950, Nick was born to Peter and Betty (Baumgartner) Cigan in Chippewa Falls. Nick married his soulmate and the love of his life Jacqueline Barsamian on August 17, 1969, in Iron Mountain, MI.

Nick worked at Uniroyal until his retirement. He cherished spending time with his family and turned caring for them and their home into his life's work. Along with his wife, Nick became a foster parent and enjoyed caring for and helping numerous children over the years.

Nick made a great impact on everyone's life that was lucky enough to know him. He was a jokester at heart and always knew how to put a smile on people's faces. He will be dearly missed by his family, and they will remember him as the kind and caring man that he was. If there was an award for being the best husband, father, and grandpa around, Nick certainly would have won.

Nick is survived by his daughter, Tascha (Basil) Seymour of Chippewa Falls; sons, William “Billy” Cigan of Chippewa Falls, and Peter (Angie) Cigan of Altoona; grandchildren, Amanda, Allissandra, Dante, Tricena, Jaxson, Wyatt, Lakhoy, Bianca, Urijah, Annabell, and Lydia; great-grandchildren, Jace, Adrian, Elijah, Cora-Lynn, and Arabella; siblings, Martha Raatz, Mary Denning, and Mike (Linda) Cigan; along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 infant children; his parents; wife, Jackie; granddaughter, Jocelynn; sister, Marie Yeager; and brothers, William, Greg and George Cigan.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, January 24th, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church.

The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 25th at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls, with Fr. David Nowicki officiating. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls with a lunch to follow at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
