Norma Jean Chance, 87, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls.
She was born August 19, 1925 in Walnut, Iowa to Anna (Thiesen) and Lester Boiler.
In 1946, Norma married Forrest Chance and they had five children together. The couple later divorced. Norma worked at the Northern Center in Chippewa Falls for 23 years until her retirement.
Norma loved to play Bingo; go to the casino and was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick Chance, Jenner "Jim" (Karen) Chance, all of Chippewa Falls, Robert (Robin) Chance of Shakopee, MN; a daughter, Norma Ann Chance of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Chance in 1974; a brother, Evan Boiler; and a sister, Veda Clark.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.
AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service for Norma Jean Chance, 87, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Terri Koca of Trinity United Methodist Church officiated and music was provided by Judy Brist. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were, Michael, David, Brian, Scott, Brady and Robbie Chance.
