Norma J. Felmlee, 82, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2013 surrounded by the love of her family and while under the care of St. Josephs Hospice, at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.

Norma Jean Barthen was born September 26, 1930 to Ethel (Chase) and Joseph Barthen in Chippewa Falls. She grew up near Popple Lake and graduated from Chippewa Falls Sr. High School in 1948.

In 1951, she married the love of her life, Glenn Jake Felmlee. Together they had three sons and three daughters: Jack Felmlee of Chippewa Falls, Dawn Harrison of Eau Claire, Lisa (Mike) Windsor of Winter, Mark (Jackie) Felmlee of Eau Claire, Matt Felmlee of Palm Springs, CA and Gina Wilson of Lake Hallie.

The family was parishioners of St. Olafs Church for many years. Norma loved raising her children and was a very kind and caring mother.

She was employed by Sacred Heart Hospital in the housekeeping department for almost 30 years. She enjoyed the friends she made there over the years. She retired and settled into being a happy grandmother.

Besides her children, Normas success in life shows by her grandchildren, Stacy (Jason) Jesperson, Josh Felmlee, Sarah and Ashley Harrison, Jason (Kerri) Windsor, Jenifer (Jake) Stanek, Ali and Abbie Felmlee, Dustin and Nicolette Johnson; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Mason Jesperson, Ashlea and Alayna Windsor, and Lavonte Bean. Norma is also survived by her dear sister, Betty (Bob) Crosby; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

The siblings she will be reunited with once again are her brothers, Frank and Robert Barthen, and her sisters, Lorraine Spicer and Audrey Porn.

Everyone that met Norma loved her. She had a very special beauty inside and out and always saw the good in everyone and everything. Her sweetness only hid the strong and courageous woman she really was. Although she will be greatly missed, her family finds peace in knowing her faith has finally taken this fine lady to be with her Lord in Heaven, right where she belongs.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, July 29 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220 Monroe St., Eau Claire with Fr. Brian Konopa officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Monday at the church.
