Pastor Bruce N. Stokka, 84, of Chippewa Falls, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his home surrounded by family while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
Bruce was born May 12, 1926 in Luverne, ND to Marie (Loge) and Martin Stokka. He married Eleanore Litzkow on December 28, 1950. From 1954 until 1990, he served as an Evangelical Free Church pastor in Plum City, Rice Lake, Rapid City, SD and Cedar Rapids, IA. After retirement, he served in a jail ministry in Cedar Rapids and as a chaplain in several care centers. He and his wife have been residents of Chippewa Falls since 2006.
Bruce served his country honorably in the U.S Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanore; four daughters, Cheryl (Bruce) Tay, Laurel (Philip) Print, Joan (Samuel) Wharton, Lynn (Bradford) Seaman; two sons, Joel (Beth) Stokka, Brian (Michele) Stokka; 21 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
