Patricia I. "Patti" Birch, 68, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.

She was born April 12, 1946 in Chippewa Falls to Irene (Reischel) and Leo Wittrock. She graduated from McDonell High School in 1964.

Following high school, she went to cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for ten years.

On August 1, 1968, she married Clyde Birch in Germany, where he was stationed while serving in the US Army.

They resided in the town of Wheaton, where they farmed and owned and operated the River Inn for several years. They sold the farm to family members and moved to Hallie in 1998, where she worked at Farm and Fleet for over ten years until her retirement.

In her retirement, Patti volunteered at the Chippewa Falls Senior Center, where she made many friends. She enjoyed meeting the ladies at McDonald's for coffee every morning, and going on casino trips to Turtle Lake. She also loved cats, and had three as pets.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Clyde; daughter Lisa (Dean) Hartje of Mukwonago; two grandsons, Greyson and Lachlan; sisters-in-law, Alice Wittrock of Union Grove, Diane (Larry) Seidlitz of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law, Dale (Maria Konop) Birch of Eau Claire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Wittrock; her in-laws, Bernadine and Clarence Birch; a sister-in-law, Karen Pippenger; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Birch.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 14 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with cousin, Judy Gilles officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
