Patricia A. Regan, 89, of Eau Claire, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire.
She was born July 25, 1922 in Chicago to Catherine (Kasper) and Patrick Byrne. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Loyola University.
Patricia married Martin Regan on April 23, 1966 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1999.
While living in Chicago, she worked as a legal assistant until her retirement and was a devoted member of St. Gertrude Church. Following her husband's death, she moved to Eau Claire to be near family.
She loved the New York Times crossword puzzles and playing bridge. She had a strong faith in God and it was evident in how she lived her life.
Survivors include a sister, Loretto (John) Thorsness of Mapelwood, MN; a special niece, Jeanne Schutte of Chicago; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Katherine Schutte, Rose Mary Byrne; and a brother, John Byrne.
Service and interment will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Chicago at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14.
