Patricia Roder

Patricia Anne Blakeley Roder, 69, passed away on July 8, 2014 at her home in Foley, AL with her husband of 49 years, Richard F. Roder, at her side.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Helen (Sullivan) and Robert P. Blakely who were originally from Eau Claire.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Foley, AL;a son Ehren F. (Tracey) Roder and their children, Emma and Matthew all of Needham, MA.

Pat and Richard loved breeding and showing wirehaired Dachshunds and raised over 75 champions. Pat served on the National Board of the Dachshund Club of American. This hobby led to many friendships throughout the country.

Patricia's cremains will be displayed in a bronze sculpture depicting a girl reading a book with a dachshund looking up at her with love. It will be displayed proudly and with a constant reminder of a loving mother and wife.
