Patricia Jane Sedani, 77, passed away on October 28, 2012 at home with family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Patty was born on October 11, 1935 in Chippewa Falls, to Jane and Lloyd Fransway Sr. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She attended Chippewa Falls High School.

She married the love of her life, Arthur J. Sedani on August 3, 1956. Patty worked at the Chippewa Woolen Mill, Creamland Dairy, and the Northern Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Chippewa Falls until her retirement.

Patty mentored students through the Chippewa Falls Mentoring Program. Patty was a very active and dedicated member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She headed up the spring and fall suppers for the church, and oversaw funeral luncheons and was a member of the Quilters and the Altar Guild. Patty's love for children was evident as she enjoyed knitting baby blankets as gifts that were given at children's baptisms. Annually she volunteered to help out with Vacation Bible School.

Patty was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed sewing and creating for all her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, trying out new recipes, fishing and her "Packers".

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Steven of Chetek, David (Leanne) of Cameron; grandsons, Ryan (Shelly Carlson) and Erik Sedani; great-grandson, Parker Samuel Sedani, all of Cameron; siblings, Jackie (Lee) Hepfler of Chippewa Falls, Roger (Sharon) Fransway of Chetek, Susan (Joe) Modl of Chippewa Falls, Laura (Doug) Brown of Colfax, Sally Chartrand of Elk Mound, Jennifer Armstrong, and Scott (Ellen) Fransway, all of Chippewa Falls; sisters-in-law, Lollie Fransway of Elk Mound, Joan Fransway of Chippewa Falls; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Dick Anderson of Chippewa Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on August 21, 1978; brothers, Lloyd Jr, Tony, and Samuel Fransway.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 1 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Paul Oppedahl officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

As Patty had such a love for children, memorials may be directed to the youth fund and vacation bible school fund at Our Saviour's Lutheran church or to a memorial of your choice.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Patricia J. Sedani, 77, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2012 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Paul Oppedahl officiated with music provided by organist, Barbara Sandford and vocalists, Steve and Deb Olson and Rev. Paul Oppedahl. Personal reflections were shared by grandson, Erik Sedani and nieces, Jayne Armstrong and Megan Fransway.

Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were grandsons, Ryan and Erik Sedani; brothers, Roger and Scott Fransway and nephews, James Fransway and Chuck Brown.
