Paul C. Strandberg, 67, of Chippewa Falls, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
He was born June 20, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to Marilyn (Christensen) and Clifford Strandberg.
On November 8, 1974, he married Marion Norman in St. Paul, MN. They resided in Houston, TX for six years then moved back up north to Chippewa Falls, where Paul worked as a computer engineer for Cray Research, retiring after 23 years.
Paul was an active member of the Chippewa Falls community. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served on the Trustees and many other committees over the years; member of the Chippewa Mission Coalition; Care Link; volunteer for the Hope Village (Tiny Houses); and was President of the Weather Ridge Condo Association.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hiking and biking.
He is survived by his wife, Marion of Chippewa Falls; three siblings, Andrea (Frank) Patterson of Cokato, MN, David (Sue) Strandberg of Burnsville, MN, and Dorene (Michael) Hanson of Shafer, MN; his mother-in-law, Irene Norman of St. Paul; brother-in-law, Steve Norman of St. Paul; sisters-in-law, Judy (Gary) Rassel of Osakis, MN, Marilyn (Duane) Nelson of Blaine, MN; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and his beloved feline companions, Mr. Marvin Gray and Mr. Jack Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Raymond Norman; and a brother-in-law, Leonard “Jerry” Norman.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, February 13 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Danish Lutheran Cemetery in Braham, MN.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Chippewa Humane Association, Hope Village or Care Link.
