Pearl Dixhorn

She was born October 10, 1929 in Theinsville, Wisconsin to Selma (Robel) and Leo Preisler Sr. She grew up in Cedargrove and graduated from high school in 1948.

Following high school, Pearl attended cosmetology school and went to work as a beautician in Washburn. She later moved to Sheboygan Falls, where she continued to work as a beautician, and met her husband, Chris Van Dixhorn. He always liked the way she massaged his scalp during his appointments.

The couple married on August 26, 1950 in Random Lake, Sheboygan County. They moved to Brown Deer where they had their first child, Jeff. Twenty-two months later, their second child, Tom was born. They then moved to Eau Claire, where their daughter, Lynn was born. While raising her family, Pearl also worked at PMI in Markesan and at the Aquarius Restaurant in Kingston.
