Peggy J. Sonsalla, 62, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, went to the "big casino in the sky" on Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

She was born April 8, 1951 in Chippewa Falls to Helen Scott (Stewart) and Howard Forest Peck. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1969.

On October 8, 1976, Peggy married Luke Sonsalla in St. Paul, MN. They resided in Chippewa Falls where Peggy worked as a ward secretary at the Northern Center for 27 years, until her retirement.

Peggy enjoyed going to casinos and loved spending time with her family. She was affectionately referred to by her friends as the "Queen."

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Luke of Chippewa Falls; her parents, Helen and Howard Peck of Chippewa Falls; a daughter, Polly (Carlon Young) Sonsalla of St. Paul, MN; a son, Jeff Sonsalla of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Sue Peck of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren, LeeJan and Anton Sonsalla of St. Paul; a niece, Heather Peck of Boyceville; a great-nephew, Drake Berg of Chippewa Falls; and many other relatives and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Forest S. "Frosty" Peck.

A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 19 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE:

A memorial service for Peggy J. Sonsalla, 62, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette was held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 19 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated. Interment will be at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
