Phillip J. Gannon, 75, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
He was born February 7, 1938 in Chippewa Falls to Marie (Larson) and George Gannon. He was raised in the town of Lafayette, where he attended Bluff Grade School and then graduated from Chippewa Falls High School. He farmed with his father and also owned and operated Gannons Orchard in Lafayette.
Phillip married Phyllis McFaul on May 27, 1972 in Eau Claire.
Phil was always involved in sports and played for the Lafayette Indians for over 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two brothers, Lawrence (Jana) Gannon of Eau Claire, George (Jacquelyn) Gannon of Chippewa Falls; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 26 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral chapel.
