Randolph L. "Randy" Raymond, 54, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his home, while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
He was born August 20, 1957 in Tracy, Minnesota to Rita (Koch) and Robert Raymond. He grew up in Farmington, MN where he also attended school.
Following high school, he lived in the Twin Cities where he worked at Best Buy and as a supervisor at Industrial Fabrics. In 2002, he moved to Chippewa Falls to take care of his terminally ill sister, Becky. It was then Randy met Becky's friend, Theresa McElroy. The two became a couple and have been together for the past nine years.
After moving to Chippewa Falls, Randy attended CVTC to earn his trucking license, receiving a scholarship from Trac Inc. He then went to drive truck for Rocky Mountain Enterprises and later at John Veriha Trucking. He recently retired due to ill health.
Randy loved his life living on Lake Wissota, where he enjoyed fishing, pontoon boating and spending time around the bonfire with family and friends. He also enjoyed bow hunting and riding his Harley-Davidson.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Raymond of St. Paul; his partner, Theresa McElroy of Chippewa Falls and her daughter, Kelly (Chris Kunze) McElroy of New Richmond; three brothers, Tip (Anne) Raymond of Farmington, MN, Rory (Judy) Raymond of Chippewa Falls, Satch (Patty) Raymond of Farmington; two sisters, Robin and Rena Raymond; his "sis" Diane Thompson of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Sabrina, Elizabeth and Craig Jr.; good friends and neighbors, Jack (Kathy) Bergeman of Chippewa Falls, Loren Rehbein of Medford; and his faithful canine companion, Allie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Becky Raymond.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Deacon Mark Arnold, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery in Fall Creek.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Randy's honor may be designated to St. Joseph's Hospice or to the American Cancer Society, Lung Cancer Research, 2519 N. Hillcrest Pkwy., Altoona, WI 54720.

A memorial service for Randolph L. "Randy" Raymond, 54, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Deacon Mark Arnold officiated. During the service, Randy's sister-in-law, Judy Raymond offered the scripture readings; his good friend, Diane Thompson gave the eulogy and several friends shared memories.
Interment was in Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery in Fall Creek, town of Clear Creek.
