Rev Bulkley

The Rev. James Robertus "Bert" Bulkley, 84, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died November 24, 2010.

Bert was born on June 18, 1926, the 6th of nine children, to Paul H. Bulkley and Blanche Lauthey (Faris) Bulkley of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Bert was raised in Colorado where he attended Yampa High School. Bert served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII (September 1944 to July 1946). He married Florence Grenz on June 23, 1946 in Oakland, CA. Bert pastored a variety of churches throughout the midwest and was known for his preaching on the holiness and the love of God.

Bert is survived by his daughter Lonni (Glen) Kehrein of Chicago, Illinois, son, Jonathan (Carol) Bulkley of Buford, Georgia, daughter Twila (Todd) Lovett MD of Waco, Texas, son-in-law Jim Wolfe of Chippewa Falls, four sisters, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
