Robert J. "Bob" Hempelman, 53, Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 18, 1959 in Eau Claire to Helen (Vowinkle) and Robert Hempelman. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1977 and then attended UW Eau Claire. He moved to Mission Viego, CA where he resided for four years. He was employed in the printing industry at Adgraphic Group and then in the solar business from 1982-1986, inspecting solar installations for Solar Service. He returned to Chippewa Falls in 1986. He was employed by Citizen Action of Washington D.C. In 1990 he become self employed with Miller/Hempelman Associates, political consultants and then worked at EDP Computer Services in Eau Claire.
Bob was a care giver. He loved to help people and had an "old soul" of giving. While working on Graham Ave. in Eau Claire, he befriended many homeless people, always caring for their well being.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Hempelman of Chippewa Falls; three sisters, Carol (Ronald) Mastrobuoni of Chippewa Falls, Rhonda (Mike) Kaphaem of Tomahawk, LouAnn Brown of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Wayne (Elsie) Hempelman of Scottsdale, AZ, Jim (Pauline) Hempelman of Chippewa Falls; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hempelman.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 9 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service was held for Robert J. "Bob" Hempelman, 53, of Chippewa Falls at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 9 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra Chaplain at the Chippewa Manor officiated.
Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
