Robert E. Loiselle, 89 of Chippewa Falls died Friday, February 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born March 13, 1923 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Emery Loiselle and Gertrude Myhre. Bob was a lifelong resident of Chippewa Falls and a graduate of Chippewa Falls High School class of 1940.
In World War II, Bob served his country as a soldier with the 32nd Division, Battery "C" - 120th Field Artillery in the New Guinea Campaign. They fought battles at Buna, Sanannanda, Saidor and Attapi. Bob served over 4 years in the local National Guard and was honorably discharged in December 1944.
Bob married Dolores Durch on July 3, 1945 in Chippewa Falls. He was a salesman his entire life selling cookware, boats and then cars. He worked for Weigand Auto Sales and then started successful businesses including B & D Motors in Chippewa and then Car City Toyota in Hallie.
Bob had a passion for fishing, golfing, football, hunting and playing BRIDGE. He was a member of The American Legion (69 years), Disabled American Veterans (Life Member), Veterans of Foreign Wars (Life Member), 32nd Division Veteran Association, Last Mans' Club (Life Member), Old Goats Club (Life Member), The Moose and United Commercial Travelers (53 years). He was also a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include a son, Charles (Kathy) of Peachtree City GA; daughter, Judith (James) Rubenzer of Hammond WI; grandchildren, Brent (Allison) of Jacksonville, FL, Eric (Loni) of Lakeland, FL, Candida (Tony) Lucas of Florence, SC; great grandchildren include Nicolas, Haley, Erica, Samantha and Catalina Loiselle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dolores on October 4, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 5 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Interment with military honors will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
Friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m., Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Ann Marie Thompson, St. Joseph's Hospice, Wissota Health Transitions and the many friends who visited.

AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service for Robert E. Loiselle was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 5 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra, chaplain at the Chippewa Manor officiated and personal reflections were given by son, Chuck Loiselle.
Interment with military honors was held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
