Robert Meredith

Robert N. (Bob) Meredith, 76, of 18530 54th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died February 25, 2010 at his home.

Bob was born August 25, 1933 in Bristol Wis. to Newton and Eleanor (Jones) Meredith. He graduated from Bristol High School and then attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis. graduating in 1955. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi. While at Lawrence Bob met his life's companion, Barbara.

Bob married Barbara Brooks on June 23, 1956 at First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls.

He received his commission into the United States Air Force in 1956 and proudly served his country for 30 years. His military career took Bob and his family to many places in the United States as well as to Japan and Vietnam. His last assignment was at the Pentagon as Deputy Director of Administration for the Air Force where he retired as a full colonel. Among his many commendations were the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit.
