Private family service.
Robert J. Moe, 90, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Lafayette, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by his family.
He was born August 23, 1922 in Chippewa Falls to Alice (Commerford) and John Red Moe. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1940. After high school Robert entered the US Marines and served his country during WW II. After being honorably discharged Robert married his life, love, Irene White, on November 8, 1944 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. They had five children together, Jackie, James, Jerome, Joseph and Jeanne.
Robert worked for the DNR in Hayward, at the Lafayette Creamery and the Northern Center in Chippewa Falls.
Robert loved to hunt, fish, trap and go for long rides in the country with his wife Irene and special friends Elmer and Marie Kuehni. They also loved playing cards with Carol and the late Bill Nye. Robert was a loyal member of the NRA.
He was a member of St. Bridgets Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children, Jackie (Gary) Pitts of New Auburn, James (Judy) Moe of Chippewa Falls, Jerome Moe of Cadott, Joseph Moe of Chippewa Falls, Jeanne (Helene) Benink of Madison; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death his parents, Alice and John Moe; his wife, Irene and his brother, John Jack Moe.
A private family service will be held.

AFTERSERVICE
A private family memorial service for Robert J. Moe, 90, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 24 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Victor Inbaraj of St. Bridgets Catholic Church, town of Seymour officiated and Sister Yvonne Hiess gave the readings and the eulogy. Interment was in Bateman Cemetery, town of Lafayette.
