Robert H. Rose

Robert “Bob” H. Rose, 94, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully under the care of Interim Hospice on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Our House Memory Care in Chippewa Falls.

Robert was the third oldest of 10 children born to Herman and Alvina (Peter) Rose. He graduated from Menomonie High School with the class of 1948.

Robert worked as a mechanic at different service stations over the years and ran the South Side Shell Station in Chippewa Falls. He also worked at the Chippewa Falls Post Office and in construction. Bob enjoyed going fishing, hunting and model train shows. Most of all he cherished his time spent with his family and friends.

Robert married Betty LaBrec on April 18, 1953, in Chippewa Falls. They had three girls, Sally, Patricia and Laura and one boy, Timothy, to round out the family.

Those left to cherish memories of Robert are his son, Timothy; daughter, Patricia; grandson, Mathew Richards; great-grandson; great-granddaughters; son-in-law, Joseph Richards; sisters, Judy Gallagher and Martha Brooks; brothers, Charles Rose and Donald Rose; along with many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; daughters Sally Richards and Laura Rose; sisters, Dona Shoemaker, Kathy Lokrantz, JoAnn Carr, and Susan Schole; brother, David Rose; and other relatives.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
