Robin Arnhold

Robin "Beket" Ruth Arnhold of Wisconsin died in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Tuesday night, January 29, 2019 as a result of complications from a fall.  She was 74 years old.  She was also known as Beket and Beket-Asar Edithsdatter.

Robin was born on December 13, 1944 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.  She spent the first part of her life as well as her final years in her hometown of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.   She was the daughter of Edith Bonnet Arnhold (1916-2001) and Francis R. "Dick" Arnhold (1904-1959) and is survived by cousins.

Robin graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1963.  She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied Anthropology and Archaeology and graduated in 1969.  For many years, she lived in Madison, Wisconsin and worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.  After retirement, she returned to living in her family home in Chippewa Falls.  She was very thankful for her neighbors who assisted with her care and household chores during the last part of her life.

Robin had a bright mind, strong will, and quirky sense of humor.  She was creative and enjoyed making beadwork, needlework, and jewelry making.  Other hobbies included genealogy, reading, studying history, and visiting museums.  She loved Nature, supported environmental preservation endeavors, and was a longtime member of Circle Sanctuary, a Nature Spirituality (Pagan) church headquartered at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve near Barneveld, Wisconsin.  Robin's volunteer work with Circle Sanctuary included, writing, presenting workshops, helping with events, religious freedom activism, and assisting with its Green cemetery, Circle Cemetery.  Robin also was a member of Ar nDraiocht Fein and part of science fiction fandom and medieval re-enactment groups.
