Roger Beachem

Roger L. Beachem, 78, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Cornell Care Center in Cornell.

He was born September 19, 1934 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Dorothy (Henneman) and Lundy Beachem. He was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1952. He entered the US Army in June 1957 and served at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was honorably discharged in August 1962.

Roger married Delores Bollom in 1962 and has resided in Chippewa Falls since that time.

Roger was employed at Chippewa Valley Roofing and Siding for several years until starting his own business, Irvine Specialty Company which he owned and operated until retiring in 2003.

He has been a resident of the Cornell Care Center for the past four years.

He is survived by two sons, Ryan (Tracy) Beachem of Cadott and Rex (Nancy Beaudette) Beachem of Chippewa Falls; one granddaughter, Ellen Buchanan; step-granddaughter, Nicole Wajeck; special friend, Connie Peterson Heintz of Eau Claire and her daughter, Karen Jacobi of Chippewa Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marsha.

A graveside service was held at 12 noon on Friday, June 21 at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating.
