Roger D. Clouse, 76, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Chippewa Valley in Bloomer.
He was born October 3, 1940 in Loyal, WI to Ernest and Edith (Smith) Clouse. He grew up in Loyal and attended high school at Greenwood High School in rural Loyal.
From June 7, 1962 - April 29, 1964 he served in the US Navy with the Seabees, spending part of his time stationed at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
Roger worked for many years as a mechanic repairing and painting vehicles at Cormican's on Water St. in Eau Claire, Dolly Madison Dairy in Chippewa Falls, Armour Meat Packing Plant in Eau Claire, and Sana Dairy in Menomonie. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and snowmobiling in his younger years. He also enjoyed watching the Packers and NASCAR racing.
Roger is survived by his two brothers, Richard Clouse of Lake Hallie and Russell Clouse of CO; son, Roger Clouse Jr. of CO; step-sons, Reese Phillips and Roger Williams; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Myrna in 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 1 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E Columbia St., Chippewa Falls with Rev. David Irgens officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Falls City Cemetery, town of Spring Brook, Dunn County, WI.
