Roger D. Kunsman, 64, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at the Mayo Clinic Heath System, Eau Claire on Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1952, to Frank and Irma (Compua) Kunsman in Bloomer WI.
Roger graduated from Bloomer High School with the class of 1970. On December 20, 1972, Roger and Alice McCutcheon were united in marriage in Chippewa Falls. Roger was a member of Chippewa Valley Bible church where he loved attending the Tuesday Morning Men's Bible Study. He dispatched for Chippewa County Sheriff's Department for 35 years. Roger was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather that will be missed, but not forgotten.
Roger is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alice; two daughters, Susan (Todd) Zukowski and Heidi Rands; two sons, Daniel and James (Amy) Kunsman; grandchildren, Annamarie (Cody) Roper, Ashley Zukowski, Katylyn Kunsman, Brady Kunsman, Winter Rands and Juliet Kunsman; two sisters, Kay Baier and Sharon (Bob) Olson; brother, Robert (Marie) Kunsman; sister-in-law, Jeanne Kunsman; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dick Kunsman.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls, with a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. at the church. The funeral service will be officiated by the church Elders. There will be a luncheon following the funeral service in fellowship hall.
Rogers's favorite attire was anything Hawaiian. Those attending are encouraged to wear anything purple or Hawaiian.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
