Ronald A. Petrich, 70, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
He was born July 22, 1941 in Chippewa Falls to Mary Elaine (Thornton) and Lloyd Petrich. He grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1959. Following high school, Ron was employed at Amoco, where he worked until he retired in 1993, as the second longest standing employee as of that time.
He married Betty Roder on June 20, 1964 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. He and Betty are both lifelong residents of Chippewa Falls.
Ron had many interests. He loved to spend summers in Chetek, where he and his family had a camper for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, a pastime that he passed on to his son and grandchildren. He liked to bowl and bowled in local leagues for many years. He will also be remembered for his cooking and the wonderful meals he'd make for family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Betty; his son, Brian (Sherry) Petrich; a brother, Joseph Petrich; grandchildren, Katerina, Brandon and Trenton Petrich, all of Chippewa Falls; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Dr. Gary Paul officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 9 and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.

A funeral service for Ronald A. Petrich, 70, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Dr. Gary Paul officiated and music was provided by organist Marilyn Brace and vocalist, Katie Hall.
Interment was in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
