Rosemary Anderson, 89, passed away on January 1, 2015 at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center, Chippewa Falls.

Rosemary was born in Chippewa Falls on October 16, 1925. She was one of nine children born to John and Mildred (Isham) Soden. She was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School.

Rosemary married Roy Anderson in 1947 and they raised three children on the family farm in the township of Hallie. She was born in the era of the Great Depression and prior to marriage worked at the Farmer's Store, Woolworths Five and Dime, and Presto. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, and cards, but most important to her were her husband, family and home. While a youngster, she helped at home in her father's large garden. After marriage, she raised strawberries and pickles on the farm. In later years, she loved to sing along with Music Mary many of the old songs she learned by her mother's side at the piano.

Rosemary is survived by her sisters, Mildred Nyhus, and Ann Anderson; her three children, Dennis (Irene) of Chippewa Falls, WI, Cathy (Dave) Yohnk of Maplewood, MN, and Roger (Heidi) of Chadds Ford, PA; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, her brothers, Milo, Ezra, Gene, Lee, and William; one sister, Margaret Meindel; and two brothers-in-law, Duane Nyhus and Richard Anderson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 5 at Faith Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls with the Rev. William Plautz officiating. Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Sunday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and at the church one hour prior to the service

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or Faith Lutheran Church.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Rosemary Anderson, 89, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 5 at Faith Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. William Plautz officiated and music was provided by Rich Peterlik. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie. Casket bearers were Luke Anderson, Mike Soden, Dante and Savanna Wilder.
