Rosemary L. Rosie Koepl, 80, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Wissota Health, Chippewa Falls.
She was born December 21, 1932, daughter of Nellita (Merrill) and Henry J. Nabbefeld. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1951.
On September 22, 1951, Rosie married Laverne Fritz Koepl. She and her husband owned and operated Fritz Koepl Excavating Company for many years, along with their sons.
Rosie was a devoted mother and grandmother and was always willing to help others. Rosie and Fritz enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful memories exploring the U.S. in their motorhome. Fritz preceded Rosie in death on June 9, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Gary) Frederick of Chippewa Falls, Lynette (Rick) Frenette of Milwaukee; two sons, Kim (Julie) Koepl, Scott (Tena) Koepl all of Chippewa Falls; a sister-n-law, Hazel Rykal of Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren, Shane (Sara), Lance, Shannon, Josh, Jess, Cole, Terra (Trevor), Kara, Keaten; five great-grandchildren, Ben, Jack, Lucy, Kennidee, Spruce; several half-brothers and half-sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fritz.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 10 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Terri Koca officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Sunday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service for Rosemary L. Rosie Koepl, 80, of village of Lake Hallie, was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 10 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Terri Koca officiated and music was provided by Gary Polden and Judy Brist. Personal reflections were given by grandchildren, Shane and Shannon. Interment followed in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie. Casket bearers were grandchildren, Shane, Lance, Shannon, Josh, Jess, Cole Terra, Kara and Keaten.
