Roxanna J. Landry

In the early morning hours of July 19, 2024, a page of our lives was turned when Roxanna Jacquline Landry passed on to heaven peacefully with her family by her side in her home, at the age of 84 years.

Roxanna had one son, Kip (Linda) Landry.

Roxanna was born to John and Eva (Roberts) Jackson on May 28, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She married F. John Landry from Louisiana, on September 3, 1960, in Wisconsin Rapids. Roxanna had one sister, Rolanda (Richard) Johnson, that all preceded her in death.

Roxanna sang in the Valley Gospel Choir for 15 years, and she also made the Guinness Book of World Records in 1981 (listed in the 1982 Special Edition, p. 124) for having the largest Coleus plant at that time.

She worked for various employers over the years, and worked 15 years at the Chippewa Falls K-mart store and Gordy’s IGA store(s) before her retirement. Her hobbies and interests included: working in the yard at her home, decorating, bowling, riding motorcycle with her husband, John, along with other Christian friends, attending Bible studies, church and Ladies’/Women’s Ministries.

Significant and most important accomplishments in my life: (in Roxanna’s own words) “Accepting the LORD JESUS as my savior, married to a wonderful husband-having a wonderful son.”

Fondest memories: “Spending time with my family (especially on the holidays) at my Mom and Dad’s house in Wisconsin Rapids with my sister and husband and their family.”

Wishing to be remembered for: “Love for JESUS and my family.”

Final message to my family, friends, and everybody else (regardless of who you are) reading this message: “Accept the LORD JESUS as your savior now without hesitation or delay and live for him according to HIS word….Rapture Day is soon, so keep looking up. At this time, my time here is finished, but I will be on my eternal forever vacation with my GOD in heaven, so you can find me there. Look me up when you’re in heaven’s neighborhood.”

A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie.
