Ruby I. Taylor, 93, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center, Chippewa Falls.
She was born June 9, 1920 in Racine to Lillian (Nelson) and Jens Anderson. She was raised in Racine. Ruby served in the US Army from June 1942 where she was stationed at Ft. Des Moines, Iowa, until being honorably discharged in August 1944.
She married Richard Taylor on September 23, 1967. They resided in Racine after their marriage until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1987. Ruby and Richard were employed by the Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; a daughter, Carol (Steve) Fritzler of Chippewa Falls; sons, Gerald (Rita) Taylor of Lubbock, Texas, Douglas Taylor of Racine; a daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor of Chippewa Falls; a son-in-law, Jim Shenkenberg of Racine; brothers and sisters in-law, William (Jeanette) Taylor, Kenneth (Rosa) Blake, all of Chippewa Falls, Ruby (Laurence) Hakes of Chetek; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant twins, Arlo Royal and Lorna Mae Kumpf; a daughter, Mary Louise Shenkenberg; two brothers, Lawrence and Arlo Wayne Anderson; sisters-in-law, Lillian Wilson, Joan and Juanita Taylor; and brothers-in-law, Harold and Alvin Taylor
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 16 at Landmark Christian Church, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating. Interment will be in Bloomer City Cemetery, Bloomer.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
AFTERSERVICE
A funeral service for Ruby I. Taylor, 93, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 16 at Landmark Christian Church, Chippewa Falls. Pastor Brad Crocker officiated and music was provided by Harvey and Arlene McEathron. Interment was in Bloomer City Cemetery. Casket bearers were George and Jim Taylor, Karl Blake, Kandi Heath, Nicholas and Steven Fritzler Jr.
