Ruth King

Ruth M. King, 86, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

She was born June 11, 1923 in the town of Eagle Point to Mabel (Shick) and Joe Zimmerman. She was raised in Eagle Point and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1941.

Ruth married Edward F. King on April 27, 1943 in Ocean Park, New Jersey. They resided in Chippewa Falls, where Ruth was employed in the food service dept. at the Rutledge Home from 1973 until her retirement in 1988. Edward preceded her in death on July 31, 2005.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. Ruth enjoyed being outdoors. Her pastimes included gardening and taking walks every day through Irvine Park.
