Sandra M. Harvey

Sandra Mary Harvey, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away in her home with loved ones by her side on April 5th at the age of 81.

She was the first-born child of Henry and Stella (Hallas) Dobrowolski in Mosinee, WI, on June 29th, 1943. Raised on a farm with siblings Doreen (deceased), Brenda (deceased), and Robert, Sandra grew up strong and resilient.

Sandra was a devoted mother to Linnette, Lorna, and Troy, loving grandmother to Stephanie, Kirsten, Hunter, Rilee, Easton, and Liam, and proud great grandmother to Madyson, Raelyn, and Lane. She was also a special aunt, cousin, friend, and confidant to so many others. A heartfelt thank you goes out to daughter-in-law, Karita, and niece, Pamela, for their kind and gentle support when it mattered most.

Sandra will be remembered as a woman of many talents, who had a tremendous capacity for giving and generosity. She was a die-hard Packer fan, often coaching the team in front of her TV. She was a great hostess, gifted artist, and talented baker. She was practical and stubborn to a fault. Her strong work ethic permeated through the years as a bookkeeper, real estate office assistant, township clerk of 20+ years, and small business owner. She ran a ceramic business out of her home for over 40 years and carried her baking skills forward as proud owner of the Bake-n-Brew coffee shop. After closing the coffee shop, she maintained lasting relationships with friends who became like family. Because of the joy she found in the baking business, she went on to find a part-time job helping at the Cadott Bakery. Moving into retirement, Sandra experienced fulfillment as a volunteer as she dedicated time and talent at the Heyde Center for the Arts. Sandra felt that her kids were her greatest treasures. She cherished time with her grandkids and great grandkids, who will lovingly take on her legacy of cooking and baking traditions. “Grandma Sandy”, as the kiddos called her, loved cheering them on at sporting events, enjoyed watching their musical performances, and of course, took pride in sharing with them her love of baking and ceramic artistry.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 14 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, WI, with Father William Felix officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be at the Bateman Cemetery in Lafayette Township, with a luncheon to follow for the family and friends who loved her dearly to gather in sharing fond memories and her menu of good food in the church basement.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sandra’s name to the Heyde Center for the Arts - Chippewa Valley Cultural Association in Chippewa Falls, WI. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=7BWCH44YLYK9W
