Sandra K. Sandy Lancette, 62, of Cadott, town of Anson, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, surrounded by her family at Mayo Clinic Health System Eau Claire.
Sandy was born October 17, 1950 in Chippewa Falls to Marcella (Gilbert) and Glenn Greene. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1968.
On October 4, 1969, she married Jeffrey Lancette at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. She worked for many years at Phillips Plastics, but her heart was in being a wife and mother at home.
Sandys mothering extended far beyond her husband and son, she took care of her entire family. She loved to cook and bake her own bread. She also enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Piecemakers Club at the Chippewa Falls Senior Center. She was the queen of Jeopardy, enjoyed playing cards and watching Antique Roadshow on TV. She will truly be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Lancette of Cadott; a son, Michael Lancette of Eau Claire; her mother, Marcella Bosman of Chippewa Falls; step-father and second dad, Hank Bosman of Chippewa Falls; six sisters, Denise Lewallen of Viroqua, Shari Greene of Boyd, Su (Dan) Miner of Cadott, Shelly Greene of Portage, Barbie (Mike) Vacho of Eau Claire, Terri (Tony) Aaron of Hayward; two grandchildren, Abigail Lancette and Jacob Nyseth; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Greene; and three brothers, Keith, James and Glenn Greene.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 28 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Bruce Fredrickson, chaplain at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
AFTERSERVICE
A memorial service for Sandra K. Lancette, 62, of Cadott, town of Anson was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 28 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Bruce Fredrickson, Chaplain at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire officiated and brother-in-law John Lancette read a letter from Sandy to her husband Jeff.
