Scott Kempe

Scott H. "Big Bump" Kempe, 57, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at his residence after a long, courageous battle with lung disease.

He was born November 17, 1952 in Chippewa Falls to Muriel (Erickson) and William Kempe Sr. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1971 and then attended vocational school.

Scott married Mary Nelson on September 27, 1975 at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. He and his brother, Bill, owned and operated the Chippewa Area Ambulance Service for 15 years. He then worked as a fireman for the Chippewa Falls Fire Department until he had to retire in 1993, due to health problems.
