Sharon Ione Gullicksrud, 65, of the village of Lake Hallie, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born July 12, 1949 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Ilene Sunday (Rindal) and Nordahl Gullicksrud. She grew up in Strum and graduated from Eleva-Strum High School, class of 1967.
Sharon worked as a radiology transcriptionist at Sacred Heart Hospital for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2012.
Sharon enjoyed reading, camping, spending time at the cabin in Winter, and cherished time with her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her soulmate and best friend for over 23 years, Carlin Loomis of Hallie; daughter, Lori (Glenn "Hopper") Zwiefelhofer; son, Ed (Christine) Enger; brother, Duane (Connie) Gullicksrud; sister, Linda (Keith) Hager; and three grandchildren, Kaeli and Kari Zwiefelhofer, Jacob Enger, all of Chippewa Falls. She is furthered survived by Carlin's sons, Todd (Sally) Loomis of Cedar Rapids, IA, Troy (Nicki) Loomis of Winter, WI, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 12 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Paul Oppedahl, of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
