Shirley Ann Dallmann, 79, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.
She was born on the family farm in Eagle Point to Elsie P. (Boettcher) and John J. Dallmann on February 10, 1935. She grew up on the farm and attended Eagleton State Grade School. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1952.
Shirley moved to Minneapolis and worked at The Lutheran Brotherhood Home Office for 37 years. She took an early retirement in 1992 and spent time helping her mother.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne (Madelyn) Dallmann; nephew, John W. Dallmann; great-nephew, Gage Dallmann; five step-nieces and nephews and their families; and her three beloved cats.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; brothers, John Richard Dallmann, William John Dallmann; grandparents, Augusta A. and Henry W. Dallmann, Helena A. and Richard J. Boettcher.
A note from Shirley, as her pets were so very important to her: Please, please have your pets spayed and neutered. Adopt from shelters and the Human Association. There are too many pets being destroyed. I love my cats. They are so sweet and I would sure love it if someone would adopt them. Be kind to them and they will be kind to you.
A memorial service for Shirley will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eagleton with Rev. Philip Pitt officiating. Interment will follow in Eagleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley's honor may go to the Chippewa County Humane Association.
