Steven Comerford

Steven J. Comerford, 63, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born June 28, 1947 in Eau Claire to Doris (Kaiser) and Donald Comerford. He grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Regis High School in 1965. He entered the U.S. Army in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1968.

Steve married Dianne Fransway in July, 1969 at St Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

Steve worked all his life as a Electrician, retiring in 2009, and for the last 8 years as a part-time security guard at Cray Research. Just three weeks after his retirement, Steve was diagnosed with esophageal and colon cancer. He was in remission for 1
