Tillie H. Iverson, 100, of 756 Irvine St., Chippewa Falls, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.

She was born February 29, 1912 in Red Star, West Virginia to Pauline (Kohn) and Carl Schifke. She was raised in Barron County.

Tillie married John E. Iverson on October 2, 1928 in St. Paul, Minn. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1930, where she had been a longtime resident. Tillie was a longtime member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, where she was also a member of the Ruth Circle. She has been a resident of Chippewa Manor Retirement Center since October 1989.

From 1939 - 1941, Tillie worked with many area doctors and helped deliver 58 babies in their homes. She was employed at the Rutledge Home for twelve years as a Nurse's Aide.

Tillie loved to bake and she often took homemade lefse, donuts and other treats to friends, family and even to her doctor at her appointments. She was always there with her treats to welcome newcomers at the Chippewa Manor Apartments.

Survivors include: three daughters, Fern (Edward) Dytko of Port Orange, Florida, Evelyn (Jim) Maloney, Gyda Nadreau all of Chippewa Falls; a son, Ted (Donna) Iverson of Chippewa Falls; daughter-in-law, Deanna Eure of No. Carolina; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, John in 1993; two sons, Roger and Dennis Iverson; three sisters, Olga Zilke, Edith Schilke, Agnes Schifke; two brothers, Adolph and Edward Schifke; son-in-law, William Nadreau; daughter-in-law, Mary Iverson; and granddaughter, Denise Iverson.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 27 at the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Chippewa Manor, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection or to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Tillie H. Iverson, 100, of Chippewa Falls was held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 27 at Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated and music was provided by Cindy Tewalt. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were Brian and Dan Haley, Todd Iverson, Paul Nadreau, Tim and Patrick Maloney.
