Vera E. Manor, 84, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Rutledge Home Assisted Living and Memory Care in Chippewa Falls while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

She was born March 13, 1931 in Eau Claire to Lillian (Lewis) and Clement Eddy.

Vera married William Manor on February 10, 1951 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. After their marriage they resided in Eau Claire until moving to Lake Wissota, where they resided for 23 years. They then moved to the Northgate Condominium Community in Eagle Point. Following William's death in 2010, Vera moved to the Chippewa Manor Assisted Living until November 2014, when she moved to the Rutledge Home.

She worked for the Eau Claire School District as a cook and in the laundry department for 28 years, until retiring in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Janene Manor of Chippewa Falls; two sons, Mark Manor of Eau Claire, Gregory (Babeth) Manor of Chippewa Falls; three sisters, Deloris Ruth Write of Janesville, Shirley Meier of Eau Claire, Judith (Jim) Luedtke of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; two brothers, Lyle (Ardis) Eddy and Willard (Diane) Eddy, all of Janesville; best friend and sister-in-law, Agnes "Aggie" Eddy of Hibbing, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Travis (Jodi) Gibson, Trever (Desiree) Gibson, Ashley (Nathan) Hinrichs, Kameryn Kuester, Tracy Manor; seven great-grandchildren, Weston, Gabriel and Mason Moschau, Kiahna, Sikora and Jadyn Gibson, Easton Hinrichs; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William on August 17, 2010; sister, Laura Lorenz; three brothers, Kenneth, Theodore and Donald Eddy; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Write and Duane "Dewey" Meier.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 23 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Aaron Sturgis officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, town of Washington.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Rutledge Home Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Vera E. Manor was held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 23 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Aaron Sturgis officiated and grandson, Travis Gibson shared personal reflections. Interment was at Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, town of Washington, Eau Claire County. Casket bearers were Eric and Dan Meier, Todd Burgess, Dan Boehnlein, Chris and Leon Luther.
